Ripple Effect Research Project

Ngarrimili ripple effect evaluation is designed to establish the start of the first of its kind mapping process to gain access and greater understanding into the ripple effects of economic prosperities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Victoria.

From this work we can understand the impact of each outcome of each business and the ripple effects they have on the business, founders, their families and communities.

By embedding this important piece of research and evaluation, Ngarrimili will be able to start to pinpoint influential outcomes that support individuals in business with economic prosperities whilst also capturing moments such as (but not limited too) generational change, generational wealth and other positive social outcomes for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander businesses and communities.

This project will also capture the current needs and barriers of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses in Victoria and ensure the needs and voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses are capture to help inform Ngarrimili, government departments and other organisations to ensure Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Economic Prosperities continue to thrive in the most efficient and effective way.

The purpose of this project is to develop a Theory of Change and Outcomes Framework to better understand the ripple effects Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander business contributions have on the economic prosperity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities in Victoria.
The objectives of the project are as follows:

● To develop sustainable and effective frameworks for fostering and maintaining growth in the economic prosperity, and social, emotional, and Cultural wellbeing of First Nations peoples and communities in Victoria.

● To identify barriers to economic prosperity for First Nations businesses, peoples, and communities and develop tailored, Culturally, and trauma informed enterprise support to remove them.

● To increase the capacity of Ngarrimili to identify and implement key drivers of generational wealth for First Nations peoples and communities in Victoria.

● To strengthen the governance and operational capabilities of Ngarrimili as a business through the development of a Theory of Change and Outcomes Framework.
